Scot McCloughan
Skeptics were quick to put Scot McCloughan on the potential shortlist to fill Reggie Mckenzie’s shoes in Oakland, though apparently McCloughan was just as quick to shoot down any possible speculation to that theory.
The former 49ers and Redskins general manager was a quick choice logically as a potential fit in Oakland, but according to the Las Vegas Review Journal the former GM made it clear that despite his respect for Mark Davis he is not interested in making a return to an NFL team.
McCloughan currently works with his company, Distinctive Scouting, and regularly consults with NFL teams (this year working closely with the Cleveland Browns). A potential return to the NFL would necessitate the right timing and fit, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with the Raiders.
