With the third overall pick…

Believe it or not it is possible for repercussions to come with victories, at least for these Raiders in this 2018 season. The victory over the Steelers rightfully gave the team and its fans a victory high, but the effects will likely be felt come April as well.

Per their record and strength of schedule, the Raiders third win of the season also placed them with the odds of selecting third overall in April’s NFL draft. As mentioned previously though Oakland has been playing inspired of late, they still need to make strides and most importantly, need to acquire talent.

The draft is the first start to achieve just that, but dropping to third overall deals a blow to effectively rebuilding this franchise. A third pick in the draft most certainly means the Raiders will miss out on the likes of Nick Bosa, but hears hoping they can still nab an efficient pass rusher with their top overall selection.
