The AFC West had some of the more exciting games of week 15 where polar opposite clashed in Kansas City and a huge upset took place in Oakland.

In a matchup of elite offense versus elite defense, the Kansas City Chiefs were able to pull out a victory in overtime against the Baltimore Ravens 27-24. Patrick Mahomes made some of his best throws of the season and fought off constant pressure from the Baltimore defense. Proving his mental and physical toughness while adding yet another game to his MVP campaign.

After a big win on the road last week, the Los Angeles Chargers jumped out to a quick lead against the Cincinnati Bengals and were able to hold them off 26-21. They’ve won three straight after losing to Denver a few weeks ago and head into a huge matchup against the Chiefs on Thursday Night.

Needing a win the stay in the playoff race, the Denver Broncos laid a massive egg against the league-worst San Francisco 49ers losing 20-14. At halftime, they trailed 20-0 and were not able to complete the comeback. With this loss, Denver now finds themselves more than likely on the outside looking in for the playoffs.

Lastly, in what was the biggest upset of the day, the Oakland Raiders stunned the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 24-21 nail-biter. Pittsburgh’s kicker Chris Boswell slipped on the game-tying field goal attempt as time expired to give Oakland the victory. Derek Carr played his best game of the season making some incredible throws and multiple clutch plays when his team needed it.

Now heading into the final three weeks of the season, here’s how the division has shaped out.

"Kansas City Chiefs (11-2 overall, 4-0 in AFC West)Los Angeles Chargers (10-3 overall, 2-2 in AFC West)Denver Broncos (6-7 overall, 2-2 in AFC West)Oakland Raiders (3-10 overall, 0-4 in AFC West)"

And here are where the teams stand in the ESPN Power Rankings:

"#2 Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: #3)#4 Los Angeles Chargers (Last Week: #5)#18 Denver Broncos (Last Week: #15)#31 Oakland Raiders (Last Week: #32)"

In Week 15, the AFC West will kick off the action, as the Los Angeles Chargers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a Thursday Night Football tilt. The division will also be represented on Saturday, when the Denver Broncos will take on the Cleveland Browns in the nightcap.

Oakland will look to run their streak to two games for the first time all season, as they head East to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. The Raiders have looked much better over the past couple of weeks, and are only a three-point underdog in Week 15, after being a double-digit dog the previous two games.
