Martavis Bryant suspended indefinitely

During the 2018 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders traded away a third round pick for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant. The expectation was that Bryant, while talented, would be able to stay out of trouble, and be a standout player in Jon Gruden’s offense.

Since signing, Raider Nation has been waiting for the shoe to drop, as the expectation, and rumors were that he was on the verge of being suspended. As his production on the field was nothing to write home about, Bryant did not have much of an impact on this offense at all in 2018, and his season ended when he was placed on injured reserve earlier this month.

On Friday, the hammer fell on Bryant, as he was suspended once again for violation of his conditional reinstatement. The suspension could mean the end of his career, and for the Raiders, they have to think that the trade for him was one of the worst we have seen in a very long time.
