Offensive line woes

As mentioned previously the Oakland Raiders were lucky to find not one but two able bodies to fill the vacancy left at both guard positions. Just a week ago Chaz Green and Denzelle Good found themselves at fourth and fifth on the depth chart, but on Sunday in Cincinnati they were starting for a makeshift offensive line.

The results speak for themselves: Derek Carr was sacked for five times on the day, two in the first half and three in the second half single-handedly accounted for by Geno Atkins. Kolton Miller in particular struggled as well, accounting for multiple hurries including the first sack on Carr in which he simply was outplayed by Sam Hubbard.

With just two games left in the season it remains to be seen whether the likes of Kelechi Osemele, Gabe Jackson, and Donald Penn will return to help a patchwork offensive line. Many around the organization are looking towards April, but if this offense has any chance of scoring in their last two games the offensive line needs a bit of a boost.
