It is no big surprise that the Oakland Raiders need help when it comes to getting after the quarterback, and that is where they should focus their attention with the No. 2 overall pick. While Nick Bosa would be the perfect scenario, as he is graded as the best edge rusher in this draft class, they could get an elite talent with the No. 2 pick in Josh Allen.

Allen is a guy who could be utilized in so many ways in Paul Guenther’s defense, as he is an elite linebacker, and is also one of the best in this draft class at coming off the edge. The Raiders need help in both these areas, and in Allen, they would have a guy that could be a cornerstone on a very young, and very talented defense moving forward.

Oakland did a nice job bringing in talent on the defensive side of the ball in the 2018 NFL Draft, adding pieces like PJ Hall, Maurice Hurst, and Arden Key. The expectation is they will use at least two of their three first round picks on the defense, and Allen would be a nice way to get the party started next April.
