One of the bigger issues on the defensive side of the ball for the Raiders is the depth at linebacker, so they should definitely focus at least one of their ten 2019 draft picks on the position group. They have been getting better play from Tahir Whitehead, and undrafted linebacker Jason Cabinda looks like a good player on the inside, but they have a long way to go in terms of adding depth for next season.

During his time at Clemson, Kendall Joseph has proven to be the best linebacker of the bunch, and has had his moments where he has been the best player on  their defense. Joseph is a guy who can play in the middle, and on the outside, and the Raiders need versatile linebackers that they can line up all over the field.

Marquel Lee is a nice player, and should be a part of the team’s plans moving forward. If Oakland can add a guy like Josh Allen to the edge, and Joseph in the middle, it would give them so much more depth moving forward, and could make that second level of the defense a better unit heading into the 2019 season.
