Home Sweet Home

It has been a strange relationship between the City of Oakland and their beloved Raiders in recent months, as the team makes their move to Sin City. In 2019, the Raiders were supposed to play their home games in the Oakland Coliseum once again, but everything went sour last week, and now their home stadium is up in the air.

First, the City of Oakland sued the Raiders and the NFL due to the team’s move to Las Vegas, and then the Raiders tore up a proposed lease offer for the 2019 NFL season. The offer would have more than doubled their current lease with the Oakland Coliseum, and should be seen as a loss for the City of Oakland, and the fans.

It remains to be seen where the Raiders will play in 2019, but as we see every time they go on the road, this fan base travels. To have one last season in Oakland would be nice for the fans, and the organization, but based on where the two sides are at this point, it seems like a longshot.
