Doug Martin runs rampant

The Raiders piled on 27 points on a Denver defense that is compiled of defensive studs in the likes of Von Miller, and while the passing game wasn’t spectacular the truth is that it didn’t need to be. Instead, Doug Martin embodied what it means to be Raider, running tough and running hard through the Broncos defense.

Martin finished the night with 107 yards on 21 carries, also finding the end zone in the second quarter on a 24-yard run. Ever since Marshawn Lynch’s season ended prematurely due to injury, the Raiders have been thirsting for solid contributions from their backfield. Monday night in front of a primetime audience, Doug Martin answered the call.

It was a fitting sight to see, considering that Martin was born in Oakland and hit the century mark rushing in Oakland’s last NFL game hosted. Breaking tackle after tackle, Martin ran rampant on the Broncos and the result was a W.
