Frank Clark

The defensive end crop in this upcoming free agency pool is one of the best in recent memory. Players like DeMarcus Lawrence, Jadeveon Clowney, Dee Ford, and others lead a group that will get paid big time by their current teams or by their new ones. For the Raiders, their main target amongst this group should be Frank Clark of the Seattle Seahawks. Clark is in the midst of his best season in terms of sacks with 12 and has been a big part of the Seahawks playoff surge that has surprised many this season.

He has one of the best get offs you’ll see from any pass rusher and can be in the backfield before offensive tackles are fully out of their stance. The terrible pass rush numbers recorded by the Raiders this season have been well documented and need to be addressed during free agency and the draft. Clark is an ascending star in this league, and according to spotrac, his market will be around 4yrs and $48 million which the Raiders could easily pursue

Clark does have past off the field issues that may have Mark Davis thinking twice, but since they had no problem hiring Tom Cable back, that just seems like big talk to me.

It will not be easy to pull Clark out of Seattle especially since Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider took a chance on him when no else would, but we all know money talks.
