Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: 3 things we learned
The Oakland Raiders ended their 2018 NFL season with a dud in Kansas City, and here are three things we learned from their 12th loss of the year.
After an emotional potential farewell to the city of Oakland in Week 16, fans hoped the Raiders would keep the momentum from that win going in the season finale. We hoped. And we knew better, but there were 3 things we learned.
The Raiders were eviscerated by their divisional rival the Kansas City Chiefs. In an absolutely brutal game, Chiefs players managed to rack up the records — quarterback Patrick Mahomes reached 50 touchdown passes, become one of only 3 quarterbacks to do so in combination with 5,000 yards in the same season. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill became the franchise record holder for most single-season yards receiving and Travis Kelce broke the tight end yardage record.
The Raiders failed to score even one touchdown during the game. Kansas City took the number one seed in the AFC by besting the raiders 35–3. We know it was a brutal showing from the Raiders, and here are three things we learned.
