The Raiders got blown out 35-3 in their final bout of the season, here are five takeaways from the Week 17 loss in Kansas City.

In what was a roller coaster of a season, the Raiders went out barely able to muster up a whimper. The Chiefs took the lead early and cruised to a victory that quite frankly seemed easy. One thing is for sure, the Kansas City Chiefs are a superior team.

But that’s what we expected. The Chiefs finished the season 12-4, the Raiders 4-12. Jon Gruden inherited a team and tore it apart because he wants to make it his own. Andy Reid kept together a solid framework and let one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the league step into the spotlight. These teams are trending in opposite directions now, but for how much longer?

I guess that depends on how long Gruden’s rebuild takes and whether it will be successful or not. We will know more next year, but first, let’s look at five things we can take away from Sunday’s finale.

Here are five takeaways from Week 17.
