Unrestricted Free Agents

Unrestriced free agents are players that have accrued four or more seasons of service time in the NFL and are free to negotiate with any team after their contract expires with the Oakland Raiders.

Jared Cook, TE

One of the Most Valuable Players for the Raiders this season was Jared Cook, who continues to be a favorite target of Derek Carr. Oakland needs to bring him back, at least on a two-year deal, as he has shown himself to be a standout player since putting on the Silver and Black.

Rashaan Melvin, CB

Rashaan Melvin was a guy who was supposed to have a positive impact on the Raiders secondary in 2018, but he was mostly mediocre throughout. Playing on a one-year deal, I just do not see the team bringing him back in 2019.

Marshawn Lynch, RB

Beast Mode had his moments in 2018, and it is just a shame that an injury cost him most of the season. He is likely not to return due to age, but if he reaches out for Gruden, you can be sure the head coach is going to listen.

Marcus Gilchrist, SS

Marcus Gilchrist had a rough season with the Raiders, and based on his performance, the team will likely not be paying for his services again this offseason.

Reggie Nelson, FS

The time has come for the Raiders to stop trotting out Reggie Nelson in their secondary.

Johnathan Hankins, DT

Johnathan Hankins was a guy who played well for the Raiders this season, and could be back at the right price in 2019.

Clinton McDonald, DT

Clinton McDonald had moments this season where he was the most productive defensive tackle on the Raiders, and after signing with the team in September, really developed into a player the team could count on.

Martavis Bryant, WR

One of the bigger busts of the 2018 season, Martavis Bryant ended his season on the injured reserve, and then was indefinitely suspended by the league. So much for that third round pick the team gave up for him.
