Jared Cook

Jared Cook has been a very reliable player since putting on the Silver and Black, becoming a favorite target of quarterback Derek Carr. Cook is the kind of tight end that can hurt  you so many ways, and him leading the way in that position group really made the tight end spot a place of strength for this team this season.

Cook ended the year with 896 receiving yards, the highest mark in his professional career, as he went over the 100-yard mark on four occasions. The 31-year old Cook was absolutely snubbed in terms of being voted to the Pro Bowl, but his worth to this Raiders team cannot be understated, as he hauled in a career-high six touchdown receptions in 16 games.

Cook is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and the Raiders would be wise to lock him up to at least a two-year deal. He has been the team’s leading receiver the last two seasons, and while his 2017 campaign was stellar, him coming back and repeating the feat was one of the more pleasant surprises of 2018.
