Oakland Raiders: 5 players that make sense at No. 4 overall
By Brad Weiss
Rashan Gary, Edge, Michigan
With all the talk of guys like Nick Bosa and Clelin Ferrell at the top of the 2019 NFL Draft, one edge rusher just starting to gain momentum is Rashan Gary. Gary is a guy who is going to be an impact player off the edge in the NFL, and comes from the same defensive line that produced current Raiders star Maurice Hurst.
Gary is one of the more versatile defensive linemen in this draft class, possessing the ability to play all along the defensive line. He has tremendous speed, and hits with serious force, and with the Raiders, would team well with Arden Key on the edge.
Oakland’s number one need is to add talent to the edges, as they were the worst in the NFL at getting after the quarterback in 2018. Gary could help immediately, and as we get closer to the draft, you will start hearing more and more about him moving up the draft boards.
