7 New Year’s resolutions for the Oakland Raiders in 2019

Figure out who is the feature back
Marshawn Lynch came back for his second year in the Silver and Black in 2018, and looked very good early on, as he ran with that Beast Mode attitude. Unfortunately, Lynch suffered a season-ending injury, and the team had to turn to Doug Martin, who was a former Pro Bowler for Tampa Bay.
Martin ran well as the team starter, but, like Lynch, he is a free agent in 2019, and may not be back with the team. During the preseason, undrafted rookie free agent Chris Warren led the NFL in rushing, but was placed on injured reserve prior to the regular season kicking off, meaning he had to spend the entire season on IR.
Warren is going to get a long look this summer, and Jalen Richard, who is also a free agent, should be brought back. Oakland may decide that the option this season is to either draft a running back in 2019 and make him the feature back, or bring back Martin and Richard and utilize all three backs with Warren playing a big role.
