Clelin Ferrell – Defensive End, Clemson

The pass rush will hopefully be the theme of the Raiders offseason as they look to fill the massive hole left by the trade of Khalil Mack. Even though Nick Bosa is likely out of the picture for Oakland, Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell is still a very worthy pick at the top of the first round.

Ferrell could have come out last year and been a first-round pick but decided to return for another year and did not fall off one bit. He had 11.5 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss which was good enough to earn him ACC defensive player of the year.

He is a long and powerful athlete and looks a lot like former Raider and 49er Aldon Smith. Ferrell even compared himself to Smith during the Championship media day. Claiming that he thinks he can become what Smith should have been if not for his off the field issues. The Raiders could surely use someone like that to ignite this pass rush.
