Oakland Raiders: Prospects to keep an eye on in the CFP National Championship

Irv Smith – Tight End, Alabama
With Jared Cook being a free agent this offseason, the Raiders may be forced to replace what was a huge part of their offense in 2018.
Irv Smith Jr has shown great potential as a pass catcher with his athleticism and ability after the catch and he’ll become an instant playmaker in the red zone once he’s in the NFL. At 6’4 240lbs he can line up as a big slot while still being able to play on the line with his improved blocking.
The tight end class is looking excellent at the top so who knows where Smith will land, but it would be shocking to see him fall out of the first two rounds.

With Clemson’s lack of desire to cover tight ends in their previous matchups against Alabama, perhaps Smith could be in line for a tremendous performance that could further boost his draft stock.
