Let him walk: Brandon LaFell

Brandon LaFell is another guy the Raiders brought in to provide veteran leadership in 2018, but he just could not stay healthy. There were moments where he shined, as he scored twice over a four-game span, but an Achilles injury ended his season prematurely.

In 2019, LaFell will be 32-years old, and while he could have something left in the tank, being that old at the position, and coming off a devastating injury will be hard to overcome. Oakland is likely to want to get younger at the wide receiver position, so it does not make much sense to offer him a new contract.

The Raiders are going to revamp this position group, and while LaFell made some impact when he was actually on the field, they likely are not going to bring him back. He is a veteran, and a sure-handed guy, so you can never rule out Gruden taking another flier on him in 2019, but it just does not seem likely.
