Chris Warren

During the preseason, Chris Warren actually led the NFL in rushing yards, and many were calling for him to be the feature back for the team in 2018. Unfortunately, Warren landed on injured reserve prior the 2018 season starting, which meant he had to sit out the end year. However, he is a guy who is going to get a chance to start for the team in 2019.

Eddy Pineiro

Throughout the preseason, Eddy Pineiro looked like the guy who would be the kicker for the Raiders in 2018, though, like Warren, he landed on injured reserve prior to the 2018 season kicking off. With all the flux at kicker early in the year, Pineiro looked like the favorite to be the kicker in 2019, but then Daniel Carlson arrived, and the job should now be his to lose.

Overall

Eight of the nine draft picks for Oakland contributed in year one, and two rookies they did not draft could be long-term players for the team. That is a pretty good haul in one rookie class, and as this roster takes shape this offseason, expect all of them to be in the running to have starting roles in 2019.

Overall, this was a pretty good rookie class for the Raiders, as they brought in some guys who should be a part of rebuilding this franchise. Some of these players are going to be cornerstones of the franchise moving forward, and as the team looks towards the next two drafts, they see a ton of first round picks, and enough opportunity to turn this organization back into a winner.
