The Raiders second pick in the first round will come via the Chicago Bears, who lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round on Sunday night. The Bears were expected to make a deep run in the playoffs this season, but a Cody Parkey blocked field goal ended their year, and the Raiders are now locked in at No. 24 overall in April.
With this pick, the Raiders could go a number of different ways, but getting someone in who can help at middle linebacker has to be a priority in 2019. In Mack Wilson from Alabama, Oakland would have a guy they plug right into the starting lineup in year one, moving Jason Cabinda to a backup role in year two.
Wilson is not only one of the more sure tacklers in college football, but is also one of the headiest linebackers in this draft class. He will have no problem stepping in and being a starter for the Raiders in 2019, as the team tries to do everything they can to be more formidable on all three levels of their defense moving forward.
