The Oakland Raiders do not know where they will pick for the third and final time in the first round next April, although they will know if the Dallas Cowboys lose this weekend. This final pick of the first round came when the team traded away star wide receiver Amari Cooper, a move that could turn out to be a plus for both organizations.
With the No. 27 overall pick, the Raiders may choose to pick their second Clemson player in the first round, as Trayvon Mullen really stood out during the national championship game. He can flat out cover, and with how well Gareon Conley did this past season, adding Mullen could give the Raiders two young, shut down cornerbacks for the foreseeable future.
Mullen is a guy who is going to make an impact right away at the NFL level, and the Raiders need more depth at the cornerback position. If they can re-sign Daryl Worley, they would have a group that includes Conley, Mullen, Nick Nelson, and Worley, which would be one of the better groups they have had in a very long time.
