DaMarkus Lodge – Wide Receiver, Ole Miss

Ole Miss had so many weapons on offense this year yet still found some way to have a losing record at 5-7. As many as four pass catchers from this team will for sure be drafted with D.K Metcalf and A.J. Brown being the headliners.

However, DaMarkus Lodge is highly underrated, and it’s shocking he didn’t get a senior bowl invite. I’m sure he gets lost because there were plenty of mouths to feed, but he’s a former top 50 recruit coming out of high school and has shown plenty of ability against SEC competition.

He is a good route runner, hard to tackle after the catch and is able to beat press coverage well. Lodge also makes the tough catch whether it is a 50-50 ball or toe taps on the sideline. Not sure how he is as an athlete so we’ll have to wait until the combine for that, but all the traits he displayed at Ole Miss are ones that translate to productive receivers in the NFL.

I think he will be the best offensive player during the week of practice and at the game on Saturday.
