The Oakland Raiders still have no home for the 2019 NFL season, and reports it could be the Oakland Coliseum are apparently false.

There is still no word as to where the Oakland Raiders will play their home games in 2019, though a story leaked on Monday that stated the Raiders would meet with the Oakland Coliseum board one more time. In fact, the report gave a date of Friday for the meeting between Raiders owner Mark Davis and the board, but that turned out to be false.

In fact, there is no meeting set for Friday, as Davis denied one was set up. Sure, it makes sense for the Raiders to play one more season in Oakland, as they try to give their fans something better than the 4-12 year they put together in 2018.

As we wait around and see where the team will play next season, one thing is for sure, there will not be any kind of resolution happening this weekend.

However, ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez tweeted this out early Tuesday morning.

While playing one more season in Oakland makes sense, the tension between the two sides may be too much to overcome. There has been talk that the Raiders will stay in the Bay Area, but at this point, it looks like a long-shot that they will be playing their home games inside the Oakland Coliseum.

Throughout this whole mess, the Raiders have been linked to everywhere from Europe, to San Diego, so it is anybody’s guess at this point where they will end up.

If the 2018 season was the Raiders last playing home games inside the Coliseum, they went out with a bang, as they dominated the Denver Broncos in Week 16. There are so many memories that will be left in Oakland when the Raiders make their way to Las Vegas, where they will welcome in a new era of Raiders football starting in the 2020 NFL season.
