Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints

The two top seeds in the NFC will matchup Sunday in the Superdome. Both teams not only have the top offenses in the NFL but the top offensive minds as well. Sean McVay and Sean Payton will meet up again for the second time this season in a highly anticipated NFC Championship match. The first time these teams played, the Los Angeles Rams lost to the New Orleans Saints 45-35.

Although the first game was close heading into the fourth quarter, the New Orleans Saints pulled out with a win. They did this by controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. By winning the battle up front, they were able to win the time of possession.

The Saints were able to control Todd Gurley, who gained only 68 yards rushing, while the Saints themselves ran the ball for a combined 141 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Another big factor to the Saints winning was there 3rd and 4th down conversion rate. The Saints converted 64% of the time, while the Rams converted 30% of the time. The Saints will be at home, and Drew Brees has been one of the top quarterbacks at home. Now, although I really like both of these teams, I predict Drew Brees and the Saints to win 38 – 28.

Score: Saints 38, Rams 28
