Linebacker. Alabama. Mack Wilson. 27. player. 28.

Outside of the edge rusher spot, and the secondary, the linebacker position is the biggest need for the Raiders in 2019. They have had a serious weak spot at the middle linebacker spot for a long time, and it is time the team goes out and drafts an elite player at the position to hold it down for the next 5-to-10 years.

That player could end up being Mack Wilson from Alabama, who is widely regarded as one of the best inside linebacker prospects in this draft class. Looking at Paul Guenther’s 4-3 system, he would be a perfect guy to put in the middle, giving the Raiders a true middle linebacker that can work sideline to sideline.

Jason Cabinda played well in his short time at middle linebacker last season, and Tahir Whitehead really came on towards the end of the year. The linebacker spot is so important in the Raiders defensive system, and in Wilson, they would be spending a first round pick on a player who could end up going to multiple Pro Bowls.
