Oakland Raiders free agency: 3 wide receivers to target
By Brad Weiss
Adam Humphries
The 26-year old wide receiver had a breakout season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018, and could be a guy that is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. Humphries is not afraid to go over the middle, can make catches in traffic, and would slide right in as a difference maker for Derek Carr and the offense in 2019.
Of course, there will be plenty of play for him this offseason, especially coming off a 76-catch season for a Bucs team that was one of the worst in the NFC in 2018. The Raiders could use him in many ways next season, and with little pass option weapons returning, Humphries makes sense if the price is right.
There are plenty of free agent wide receivers who are bigger names than Humphries, but Jon Gruden is all about production. Despite the lack of a good quarterback in Tampa Bay last season, Humphries excelled, and with a quarterback like Carr throwing him the ball, he could end up being a 1,000-yard receiver.
