Oakland Raiders free agency: 3 wide receivers to target
By Brad Weiss
Cordarrelle Patterson
The Raiders had Cordarrelle Patterson for one season, as they grabbed him for the 2017 campaign. However, his run in Oakland was short-lived, and he is currently starring as an incredible weapon in a New England Patriots offense that will take on the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl next weekend.
Patterson has been utilized as both a runner, and in the passing game, as well as showing his prowess on special teams. I really believe that the Raiders should have brought him back in 2018, and with Dwayne Harris becoming a free agent, they may want to go younger and bring back Patterson for the upcoming season.
With Oakland, Patterson could flourish in Jon Gruden’s offense, and there have been times this season that he has been the most electric player for the Patriots. Oakland needs playmakers on the outside in 2019, and Patterson will be a free agent, setting up the possibility of a return to the Silver and Black.
