Oakland Raiders: Free Agents to watch in the Super Bowl

It is no secret that the Raiders linebacker corps is weak and needs to be upgraded. Tahir Whitehead and Marquel Lee can only do so much. Truthfully, I believe the Raiders should use the fourth overall pick (if they can’t trade back) on Devin White from LSU. However, that is unlikely to happen so it is more likely that the Raiders upgrade the linebacker position via the free agent pool. One of the better names on that list is Littleton, who has emerged as a starting caliber linebacker with the Rams.

Signed as an undrafted free agent in 2016, Littleton’s rise has come from his work ethic which Gruden will undoubtedly be infatuated with. Both on and off the field Littleton is a work-horse and is extremely motivated. His work ethic has been labeled as “infectious” and his teammates claim to love playing with him.

The young linebacker posted a career high 125 tackles in his third season in the NFL. For reference, the Raiders leading tackler was Whitehead with 126 with Lee coming in second with 68. He also tacked on four sacks, which would have been tied for team-best with Maurice Hurst this season.

Littleton fills a huge hole for the Raiders and should at least warrant some attention from the team in the offseason, assuming that he doesn’t sign a contract extension with the Rams. At only 25-years-old, Littleton has some of his best years ahead of him and would be a great pick up for the Silver and Black.
