Alabama. Mack Wilson. 27. player. 28. . Linebacker

With their third and final pick in the first round, the one they got from the Dallas Cowboys, the Raiders have to address another need on the defensive side of the ball. That need is in the middle of their linebacker group, where they could add an elite talent at the position this late in the first round.

While Devin White from LSU is considered the best middle linebacker in this draft class, Mack Wilson from Alabama is not far behind. In fact, many believe that Wilson will end up being the better pro, as he is not only an incredibly smart linebacker, but is one of the more sure tacklers in this draft class.

This position has been a weakness for the Raiders for a long time, and if you take out the short stint with NaVorro Bowman last season, they have had nobody to really captain this spot. Wilson could step right in and be a beast in Paul Guenther’s 4-3 scheme, making the position a strength for the first time in a long time.
