The oddsmakers have announced their favorites to win Super Bowl LIV, and the Oakland Raiders were a team with some pretty steep odds.

The Oakland Raiders finished the 2018 NFL season with a 4-12 record, and were the first team in the league to  be eliminated from playoff contention. It was former head coach Jon Gruden’s big return to the sidelines, and while the team struggled throughout, they did play a lot better down the stretch.

Heading into the 2019 NFL season, the Raiders have a chance to really revamp their roster, as they have 33 pending free agents, and nearly $70 million in cap space. In addition, they hold three first round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, as well as six of the first 100 selections this April.

On Sunday night, the 2018 NFL season came to a close, with Tom Brady leading the New England Patriots to their sixth Super Bowl title with him as their starting quarterback. At 41-years old, Brady defied the odds this past season, and it appears the oddsmakers like the Patriots to make another run in 2019.

Jeff Sherman of SuperBookUSA tweeted this out after the Super Bowl.

Divisional foe Kansas City have the best odds to win the big game next season, thanks to an incredible first season as a starter by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes took home the NFL Most Valuable Player award after a standout season that saw him throw for over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns this season.

Super Bowl LIII participants New England and Los Angeles have the second-best odds, and are joined by the New Orleans Saints at 8-1. The Los Angeles Chargers, Chicago Bears, and Pittsburgh Steelers are third with a 14-1 mark.

The Miami Dolphins have the worst odds in the NFL at winning the big game next February, sitting at 300-1 odds. That is a pretty big jump from the Raiders, who are currently at 100-1, joined by the Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, and Arizona Cardinals.
