Josh Allen, Kentucky

During his time at Kentucky, Josh Allen became one of the more premier edge rushers in college football, and it should pay off for him in a big way this April. One of the consensus top players in this draft class, Allen has been all over the mock drafts in recent weeks, with some even selecting him to go with the first overall pick to the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals hold the first pick, and do not neccessarily need to use it on an edge rusher, as they already have Chandler Jones. The San Francisco 49ers pick at No. 2, and need an edge, but Nick Bosa from Ohio State has been widely considered the top pass rushers in this draft class, and should be the first off the board.

Then there is the New York Jets, who could go a number of different ways, including bringing in a franchise left tackle to protect Sam Darnold, the No. 3 overall selection in last year’s draft. That scenario makes Allen in play for the Raiders at No. 4, and if he is still sitting there, he would be the perfect fit for this defense moving forward.
