Oakland Raiders: 7-Round mock draft after Super Bowl LIII
By Brad Weiss

28. . Safety. Iowa. Amani Hooker. 66. player
The Raiders got a great effort from two of their safeties this past season, as former first rounder Karl Joseph stepped up in a big way, and Erik Harris proved he could perform at the NFL level. Still, they have a lot of question marks at the position heading into 2019, and would be wise to utilize a third round pick on the position, or even earlier.
One player who I really like is Amani Hooker, a punishing safety from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Hooker is a guy who could come in and start right away for the Raiders, and coming off a year that saw him be named the Big Ten’s Defensive Back of the Year in his last season on campus.
Hooker does so many things right, and is one of the better safeties in this draft class at reading plays, and making the play on the ball. He plays with a powerful dominance, and played good enough last season to be named a second-team All-American. He would be a solid addition to this secondary, which is turning into a very young, and talented unit.
