There is a chance the Oakland Raiders will play in Oakland during the 2019 NFL season, and here are three reasons why that makes sense.

On Friday, it was reported by ABC 7’s Larry Beil that the Oakland Raiders are entering negotiations to play at the Coliseum in 2019. After a long run of back and forth between the team and the City, as well as the Raiders being basically shunned by San Francisco, it could actually happen that the team plays one more season inside the Coliseum.

Over the last couple of months, there have been many sites linked to the Silver and Black, including the team going overseas to play in London. In recent weeks, the thought of them staying in the Bay Area became the more popular scenario, as the team was in discussions to play their home games at Oracle Park in San Francisco.

This weekend, rumors began to swirl that the team could stay in Oakland, playing one more season inside  the Oakland Coliseum. That would be the best-case scenario for those local Raiders fans, who would like nothing more than to light up the Black Hole for one more season.

Here are three reasons why it makes sense to play the 2019 NFL season in Oakland.
