The Oakland Raiders will play their first season in Las Vegas in 2020, and here is what they need to do to reach Super Bowl LV.

The Oakland Raiders have had only one winning season since 2002, so to write a piece about them getting to the Super Bowl took some work. Last season, the Raiders won only four games in Jon Gruden’s return to the sidelines, but you have to think the future is bright for the franchise.

First off, the Raiders played a lot better down the stretch, and saw some of their early draft picks from years past really step up. Guys like Gareon Conley and Karl Joseph showed they could be cornerstones of this defense moving forward, and rookies Arden Key, PJ Hall, and Maurice Hurst played very well up front.

On offense, Derek Carr continues to grasp Gruden’s system, and set a career-high for passing yards and completion percentage in year one. He is finally in a stable situation in terms of his coordinator and head coach, so look for him to be even better under center in 2019.

While the 2019 NFL season is likely too soon for this team to be a Super Bowl contender, here are ten things they could do to make the big game following the 2020 campaign.
