10 things the Oakland Raiders need to do to reach Super Bowl LV
By Brad Weiss
Develop the young defensive line
When Brentson Buckner took over for Mike Trgovac as the Raiders defensive line coach, he preached about how much he loves this young defensive line. Guys like Maurice Hurst, PJ Hall, and Arden Key are going to be building blocks for this franchise moving forward, and Buckner must get the very best out of them.
Last season, the Raiders were absolutely horrible against the run, as elite running backs ran all over them. That is going to be something that much be fixed if they are ever going to get to the top of the AFC, and you have to think that they have the young talent to do just that moving forward.
Oakland not only struggled in the interior, but also on the edge, as they racked up only 13 sacks as a team. That has to change, and if Buckner can develop these young offensive linemen over the next two seasons, this is an area that could actually turn into a strength for the Silver and Black.
