2. Wide Receiver
The wide receiver group was nothing to write home about this past season, as once the team traded away Amari Cooper, it was really only Jordy Nelson left standing. Nelson played very well down the stretch, and should be back in 2019, but this is another position group that needs an overhaul this offseason.
2018 seventh-round draft pick Marcell Ateman should be a part of the plans moving forward, but guys like Seth Roberts and Brandon LaFell could be shown the door. There are some talented wideouts in this draft class, and with the team holding three first rounders, they could spend on one Kelvin Harmon, D.K. Metcalf, or A.J. Brown to name a few.
In free agency, there is also quality talent to take a look at, including guys like Robby Anderson, Adam Humphries, and Tyrell Williams. All three of those players can seriously improve this position group, and now that Derek Carr has mastered Jon Gruden’s offense, you have to think Oakland will be a destination for some wideouts in 2019.
