Marcell Ateman, Wide Receiver

After trading away Amari Cooper at the trade deadline this past season, the Raiders were left with very little depth at the wide receiver position. Sure, Jordy Nelson stepped in nicely as the leader of the group, and should be the same in 2019, but this is a team that needs to bring in bodies in the worst way this offseason.

During the 2018 NFL Draft, Oakland utilized their final pick on Marcell Ateman, a tall wide receiver from Oklahoma State. Due to the fact the team needed bodies late in the season, Ateman got some quality playing time, and showed that he can certainly be a factor at the NFL level.

Ateman is going to be a free agent this offseason, and based on his size, and ability to go up and make big catches, the Raiders should definitely bring him back. They are going to address the wideout position in the draft, and maybe even free agency, but Ateman is a guy who could be a solid contributor on this team, especially in the red zone.
