This is if the Raiders are willing to spend the big bucks. Reports began to Tuesday that Landon Collins cleaned out his locker and him returning to the Giants is becoming less of a possibility.
I’m told that Giants S Landon Collins cleaned out his locker today at the team facility and said his goodbyes to teammates, coaches and trainers. It doesn’t seem like Collins expects to be a Giant for much longer, per sources.

The Giants could still franchise tagged him, but if they aren’t willing to sign him long term, there’s not much point in that given where they are as a franchise.
Collins is a game changer not only as a player but as a vocal leader on & off the field. He is precisely the type of guy the Raiders need on this team; however, the cost is going to definitely be a point of concern. He is also coming off a shoulder injury which put him on IR, but there’s been no indication that he won’t be ready for the season. He is just 25 years old so his best football is ahead of him and he could be a focal point of the Raiders defense for years to come.

Given the state of the organization it could be tough to consider spending this much money on a safety, but if the Raiders want what’s best on the market, Collins is second after Earl Thomas.
