The 2019 NFL scouting combine will begin the on-field workouts Friday, and here is the schedule of what positions will work out each day.
The Oakland Raiders will be looking to the 2019 NFL Draft to fix their roster, which was blown up by head coach Jon Gruden this past season. After trading away Khalil Mack prior to the season, and Amari Cooper during it, Oakland finds itself without much star power heading into the 2019 campaign.
Later this month, and early in March, the Raiders will take their first step in revamping the roster, as the NFL will have their scouting combine. The on-field festivities will kick off on March 1, and will run through March 4.
The combine will feature the best players in college football, as they take their first step in becoming professional football players. We have seen players draft stocks rise, or plummet due to the combine, and it always makes for good television.
Here is a list of the days of the on-field activities, as well as which position groups will workout on those specific days.
- Friday, March 1: RB, OL, ST, and PK
- Saturday, March 2: QB, WR, TE
- Sunday, March 3: DL, LB
- Monday, March 4: DB
Of course, all of Raider Nation should be tuned in on Sunday, as we will get a look at the defensive linemen, as well as the linebackers. Those are two key areas the team needs to address this draft season, and they could be in the market for both position groups in round one.
It should certainly be a fun four days of action for these college players, who look to bump their draft status before their Pro Days. The Raiders have holes to fill up and down the roster, so no matter what day you take a look, you will likely see a future Raider trying to make his mark at the NFL level.
