For Oakland Raiders general manager Mike Mayock, Wednesday must have felt like a first day on the job, as he was the first to take the podium at the NFL scouting combine. A first-year GM, Mayock and his team will be working overdrive this week, as they scout over 300 prospective draft picks.
The Raiders obviously have a lot of holes to fill this offseason, and Mayock was sure to point that fact out on Wednesday. He dove into a ton of topics surrounding the Silver and Black, who are entering arguably their most important offseason in team history.
Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden will be working together to try and have a successful 2019 NFL Draft, where the team hold ten picks. In fact, they hold five of the first 66 picks this April, so you can be sure they are going to work tirelessly on this tremendous opportunity to scout some of the best players in college football.
