Raiders excited about Chris Warren III

Last preseason, undrafted rookie free agent Chris Warren III took the NFL by storm, leading the league in rushing. A nice blend of power and speed, Warren showed that he was definitely ready for the pro game, but unfortunately hurt his knee towards the end of the preseason.

Heading into 2019, the Raiders have a ton of question marks in terms of the running back position, but Mayock is hopefully that Warren will be in the mix. Mayock spoke about how excited he was about seeing Warren this offseason, and the expectation is that he will compete for the feature back role this season.

With the Raiders returning to Oakland, Marshawn Lynch may decide to lace up his cleats for one more season, as he is one of three Raiders running backs entering free agency. Doug Martin and Jalen Richard are also free agents, so for Warren, this is a golden opportunity to really make a mark in year two.
