During the 2018 NFL Draft, the Raiders spent two early selections on the offensive tackle position, selecting Kolton Miller in the first round, and Brandon Parker in the third. While Miller has all the markings of being a legitimate left tackle at the NFL level, he struggled in year one, but that was mostly due to being banged up.

Like Miller, Parker also was inserted into the starting lineup, but he was put there due to the fact that Donald Penn went down early due to injury. Not only was Parker not ready to start, but he may never be ready, though the hope is that he was just thrown into the fire too soon.

Still, the Raiders could look to draft the position again in 2019, and Bobby Evans from Oklahoma is a guy who could come in and start right away. Oakland may not want to pay Penn for another year of his services, and after starring as the left tackle for the Sooners last season, Evans could slide in as the starting right tackle for Oakland in year one.
