Running Backs

Benny Snell Jr., Kentucky

The Kentucky Wildcats had a special season in 2018, as they capped off a successful regular season with a victory over Penn State in the bowl game. The Wildcats have Benny Snell Jr. to thank for their exploits on offense this season, as he rushed for nearly 1,500 yards, scored 16 times, and could be a middle-of-the-draft pick for Oakland in April.

Karan Higdon, Michigan

During his last two years on campus for the Michigan Wolverines, Karan Higdon established himself as one of the best running backs in the Big Ten. Rushing for over 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns in his final two years combined, Higdon may not have great size standing at 5-foot-9, but he is not afraid to run through the tackles, and is one of the more versatile backs in this class.

Bryce Love, Stanford

During his career at Stanford, Bryce Love went from a can’t-miss prospect, to a can’t-stay healthy prospect, and it really affected his draft status. There was a time he was the best running back in the country, and if he is healthy, and has a good Combine, there is no doubt he can be a steal for a team late in the draft.

Josh Jacobs, Alabama

One of the few running backs in this draft class that could hear their name called in the first round, Josh Jacobs has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Marshawn Lynch in Oakland. Jacobs has that rare blend of speed and power that you look for in a feature back, and if the Raiders do take a running back in round one, it will likely be him.

Elijah Holyfield, Georgia

The son of the former Heavyweight Champion, Evander, showed great promise in 2018, his first season getting a majority of touches for the Georgia Bulldogs. Elijah Holyfield is a guy who is a punishing runner with good speed, and someone to keep an eye on Friday, especially when he runs his 40.
