2019 NFL Scouting Combine Day 1: Who to watch for
By Brad Weiss
Looking Ahead
Saturday, the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends will take to the field, as Day 2 of the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine gets underway. Some believe Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray has already won the combine, after coming in at over 5-foot-10 inches, and locking up his spot as a high draft pick.
Wide receiver is definitely an area of need for Oakland, so it will be interesting to see all the big names go through their workouts Saturday. Oakland has Jordy Nelson returning in 2019, and Marcell Ateman should see an advanced role, but outside of that, this position group is wide open heading into next season.
The Combine will run through Monday, where the defensive backs will finish off the on-field activities. From there, we wait for Pro Days, but with only two months remaining before the draft, and the new league year starting in two weeks, Mayock and Gruden are not likely to get any sleep any time soon.
