The Oakland Raiders have a hole at running back heading into the 2019 NFL season, and a report suggests they are showing significant interest in Le’veon Bell.

The Oakland Raiders have a lot of work to do in terms of their roster heading into next season, as they have 33 players entering free agency. One of the bigger free agents in the NFL this upcoming offseason is former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, and a recent report suggests that the Raiders are very interested in bringing him in.

Of course, Oakland does have the money to spend, as they have over $70 million in cap space. In Bell, they would have to invest a significant amount of money, but with only one running back on the roster not entering free agency, it is a position group that they have to target.

Per a report from Matt Verderame of FanSided, the Raiders have shown significant interest in Bell, who would give the Raiders offense an incredible new dynamic. Oakland had to utilize older backs in Marshawn Lynch and Doug Martin in the feature role last season, and Bell would give them a young, and explosive option at the position.

Here is what Verderame tweeted out on Saturday from the Combine.

Of course, any offense would be lucky to have Bell, who is only 26-years old, and is one of the better running backs the league has seen in a while. Not only can he be effective from the backfield, but he is also great in the passing game, and this Raiders offense could certainly use some weapons in that department.

Jalen Richard was one of the better backs in the NFL in the pass-catching department last season, but is no where near the back that Bell is. This would be a significnat upgrade to this Raiders offense, and with the team already involved in the Antonio Brown talks, the Raiders could end up having two-thirds of the Pittsburgh Steelers Killer B’s next season.
