2019 Oakland Raiders Free Agency: Who should stay, who should go

Who should go

Johnathon Hankins: Hankins had a disappointing season on a one-year prove it deal and couldn’t get it done. He didn’t have a single sack, but I’m also willing to give him another chance mainly due to the entire team having fewer sacks since Mack left early in the season.

Leon Hall: Hall is aging (35) and had a lackluster season this year. He only had 3 passes deflected and 10 games played this season. With a lot of defensive talent in the draft, younger is better when it comes to the cornerback position. However, veteran talent is always welcomed to help with younger players and he may be able to contribute in that way.

Frostee Rucker: The aging defensive lineman didn’t have a sack last year with about 40 tackles and 12 tackles for a loss. At 35, soon to be 36 when the season starts, the lineman will take up a precious roster spot on the defense when it could be given to a young, rising star from the draft.

Reggie Nelson: Nelson has been a great addition to the team for a long time, but every great player has a beginning and an end. Nelson only started 7 games last year while only playing in 11. With less than 30 tackles and only 2 passes defended last year, the safety at 35 years old is past his prime.

With double-digit picks in the 2019 NFL draft, the Raiders are looking forward to dominating the AFC West again.
