Stock Down
Jachai Polite – Defensive End, Florida
It seems the entire combine experience was an unpleasant one for Jachai Polite. It started with media interviews where Polite admitted to not watching tape of himself after a reporter asked him about something on film. Then with the team interviews, Polite lamented teams like the Packers and 49ers who were spending their time nitpicking or what he called bashing his game.
So he definitely left a bad taste in some team’s mouth, but he didn’t counteract it with good testing. As a player who is known for his athleticism on tape, Polite only ran a 4.84 with just a 32 inch vertical before ending his day due to a hamstring problem.
It appeared Polite attempted to put one weight for the combine weighing in at 258 after playing around 240 while at Florida. Polite better show out big time during his pro day because his stock is lowering big time.
Just landed back home, opened my phone and had 5 texts from scouts about how bad Jachai Polite interviewed. On top of bad workouts (one called his injury “bullshit”), his stock is taking a massive tumble.
