Maxx Crosby – Defensive End, Eastern Michigan
A lot of big name defensive line prospects showed out at the combine and only furthered the belief of many analysts that it is the best position group in the draft. However, lost in praise of guys like Montez Sweat, Rashan Gary, and Quinnen Williams was the unreal athletic testing numbers of Eastern Michigan’s Maxx Crosby.
Reading on him before the combine people saw Crosby as more of a technician that used great hands and arm length to win but was in no way a freakish athlete. Well, the combined proved otherwise as Crosby tested in the 90th percentile or above in every single drill at the combine.
That is crazy from any prospect, and it will no doubt have people looking into his tape and getting as much information on him as possible. Crosby produced well as Eastern Michigan recording 20 sacks and 41 tackles for loss in three seasons. Often times you’re looking to see if smaller school guys can hold up athletically before you begin to seriously evaluate if they can make it on Sundays and Crosby left no doubt he can hang.
