With their recent off-season moves, does it make sense for the Oakland Raiders to pursue Le’Veon Bell to be their feature back?

On March 9, the Oakland Raiders signed one of the league’s best wide receivers, Antonio Brown, giving up only a third and fifth round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown had made no secret of his unhappiness in Pittsburgh, and Raider Nation was happy to have him.

The high-profile move has sparked the rumor mill that the Silver and Black will go after another dispirited Steeler, Le’Veon Bell, who is widely considered the crown jewel at running back in this free agency class. The veteran running back sat out the entire 2018 NFL season, refusing to play a single snap, and is now free to sign wherever he wants.

The Raiders struggled at running back through the latter part of last season. Here’s why acquiring Bell makes sense, and why it doesn’t.
